Tried the mixed box first

Tried the mixed box first, really enjoyed the feeling of liking a low alcohol beer. Felt relaxed at the end of the evening and great in the morning. Tried the triple hop next, excellent flavour. Always serve Really cold, it does enhance the flavour.

How we ranked them

We judged each drink against the best of its own type: beers on taste awards, Trustpilot rating, calories and price per 100ml; spirits and fizz on taste, sugar and price per bottle. Spirits are poured at about 50ml with a mixer, so their price per 100ml looks high next to beer. Facts come from each brand's page or the named supermarket listing.

UK labels: what "alcohol free" means

In England, government labelling guidance says "alcohol free" means no more than 0.05% ABV, "de-alcoholised" no more than 0.5% and "low alcohol" no more than 1.2%. Most craft alcohol-free beers are 0.5%, the standard in much of Europe, and the government has committed to consult on raising the "alcohol free" limit to 0.5%.
